  • Growth of oil prices may dampen growth in exports in 2005

    Despite the sharp rise in oil prices the volume of world trade is likely to grow by 8.5% in real terms by the end of 2004, according to World Trade Organization statistics. Due to the trade expansion of many countries and due to strong economic recovery of other countries it is possible that growth of oil prices may dampen teh volume of exports just in 2005.

  • Imports in BiH was increased for 2,38 percent only because of growth of oil prices

    Due to high growth of oil prices the imports in Bosnia and Herzegovina was increased for 2,38 percent. In the first nine months of 2004 the total imports was amounted to KM 6,098, and that presents increase of 588,25 millions KM (imports increase for 9,62%) comparing the same period in 2003. In this period the highest increase of imports was recorded in imports of mineral fuels, oil and bitumen substances (HS:27) in total amount of 158,86 millions KM, and that presents increase for 27,25 percent comparing the period of the first nine months in 2003. 

  • Exports of chemical products instigates the growth of exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina

    Exports of inorganic chemical products (HS:28) in the first nine months of 2004 increased the growth of exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina for 5,08 percent. Total exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the first nine months was amounted to 2,030 billions KM, and that presents increase of exports for 317,59 millions KM (exports increase for 18,45 percent) comparing the same period in 2003. increase of inorganic products exports for 103,09 millions KM (exports increase of 8.256,28 percent) instigated the growth of exports from BiH for 32,46 percent.
